Here at C&M Herefords we have a simple goal, getting maximum
production out of every cow.
Our ideal female is efficient, moderate framed, fundamentally
sound with tons of longevity. Every cow, commercial or purebred,
is treated the same. They are wintered on forty acres of dry pasture
and are supplemented with a 20% protein Breeder cube. Every cow
is expected to calve, clean out, nurse and mother up with limited
labor.
The calves receive no creep feed until weaning with the thought
in mind that if our commercial customers don't creep, they should
not be persuaded into buying bulls with supplemented weaning weights.
Every calf is branded between 4-5 months of age and then revaccinated
with pre-weaning shots.
Our motto is, "Take care of your cows, they in return will
take care of you."
